review by Jules :)
char played 'the felt' in boston and she did an amazing job. she sounded really good and powered through her hour and 15 min (or so) set. she was feeling better and said how whenever she hits east coast/boston, the weather change just makes her go 'pop.' lol. i believe she said she saw a doc and she's on the mend. erin brought her tea on stage and she had her cough drops and she sounded great. the felt is...an interesting venue. very beautiful, sleek and swanky-esque, lol. i think the website said they had a music venue on the 4th floor or something like that. char was playing on the first floor which was kind of a weird set up. the stage being in the back corner of a narrow room w/ a long bar. it was pretty big in there and yet not really. i don't know how to explain it. but char gave a really really good show. great to hear limits as always. monster had an extra loud 'pop' to the mic percussion, lol. an awesome surprise to hear 'plainsong' yay. i LOVE the new loop on 'last day on earth.' that needs to be recorded! have i ever heard 'many rivers' live? i don't think so and she did a beautiful version of that with gorgeous dedication of melissa. another highlight was the stripped down, unlooped version of four walls. WOW. loved it. char may have been a bit under the weather but what a great show with some rarely heard tracks sprinkled in the set. lots of love around the merch/signing area and i had a great time with everyone.
